Sand and cement remains useful for appropriate modern applications. The important point is to select materials according to the building rather than applying the same specification everywhere.

Necessary repairs, insulation, boards, laths and base coats are considered before the finishing layers are applied. This work may not always be visible once the project is finished, but it is essential to the result.
